The season of events is kicking off with great enthusiasm with the annual Cleasathon-Inis Oírr Road and Adventure Races on Easter Weekend. There are three events on offer – 12K Adventure Trail where runners take to a mainly off road and often rough stony track. A 10k undulating road run/walk over the quiet island roads and a 5K run/walk taking in some of the beautiful hilly routes and grassy byway of the island.
As with all Inis Oirr / Inisheer events and festivals there is a fantastic social element to Cleasathon, with lively conversation, music, dancing, hearty home-cooked food and a creamy pint to be enjoyed by all.
We look forward to welcoming participants and spectators to the island, annual visitors and new friends, for what is always a energetic and fun filled weekend xx
The entry fee for the 10/12km run is €25 (€30.00 on race day) and €13 for the 5km run (€15 on race day). Participants are asked to pre-register online or by contacting Cleas Teo.
