Áit bhreá do dheireadh seachtaine, daoine gleoite. Don té a bheadh ag cuimhniú dul ann is fiú dóibh dul ag Aran Seaweed Spa d’fholcadh feamainne, áit a mbreathnóidh Annette amach go maith duit.

Bhí an tseachtain a chaith mé in Inis Oírr ar cheann de na saoirí ab fhearr a bhí agam riamh sílim. Bhí chuile rud a bhain leis an oileán chomh gleoite, chomh spéisiúil agus sócúil. Bhíomar ag siúl, ag caint, ag snámh, ag gáire, ag iascach, ag rince……agus le linn an ama seo ag cleachtadh agus ag feabhsú ár gcuid Gaeilge.

The chances are you already know it – the island features in the opening sequence of Father Ted. It’s a tiny place. You can hire bikes, then spin around the stone-walled lanes and stop for a picnic under a vast sky. Wild flowers flourish, seals sunbathe, birds pass through – all heaven for photographers, who love the light.

Great place for a weekend, lovely people. Anyone who is thinking of paying a visit needs to include a seaweed bath at Aran Seaweed Spa where Annette goes out of her way to make the stay more relaxing.

I think my week in Inis Oirr was one of the most enjoyable holidays I ever had. Everything about the Island was so beautiful, interesting and relaxing. We walked, talked, swam, laughed, fished, danced……..all while practising and improving our Irish.

Our family holidayed on Inir Oirr for a weekend as part of our holiday to Doolin/Cliffs of Moher but we wish we stayed for a week. The kids loved the ferry ride and watching the colony of sea birds off the Cliffs. We spent most of our time on the beautiful clean beach of course. Thank you for an amazing experience.

This is my 4th time visiting Inir Oirr for the bodhran summer school. I’ve stayed in the hostel and hotel, both were very comfortable and clean. Food and drink flowed – the islanders look after you really well!!. I happily recommend the island as a great place to stay. Looking forward to returning next year.
